Raghu had no interviews for 2 months

Raghu came to me for help after 2 months of cold applications and ZERO interviews.

Less than 2 months later, he was hired.

Here's his story:

Despite having 20+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering at the Director and Program Management level, he wasn't landing interviews.

His experience managing large-scale, global program launches with Fortune 500 customers in the automotive industry somehow wasn't getting him any traction for the roles he applied for.

When I first spoke to Raghu, he expressed his desire to exit the automotive field for one with wider profit margins and an ability to earn higher compensation, but he wasn't sure how to make that happen.

We dove into a search strategy first, examining roles outside of the automotive sector that aligned well with his expertise and we developed a deeper understanding of his impact in his past roles.

Then, we overhauled his resume by making it much less task-oriented and much more impact-oriented with quantified achievements and very clear value.

A week after completing his resume he sent me an email to let me know that the first role he had applied to had reached out to set up an interview:

He asked to jump immediately into interview preparation, so we worked to polish his elevator pitch and overall approach to specific questions on his next call.

Two weeks later, Raghu sent me an email letting me know that he had received an offer!

We had another call to discuss the compensation package and strategy for negotiation.

A few days later, he had accepted an offer at a higher compensation than his last role in the automotive industry.

Raghu's story is why I love what I do and it stands as a testament of what can happen when someone embraces the fact that their job search just isn't working and that they need some help to change.

Raghu was humble, realistic, hard-working and hopeful. He was a joy to work with and got excellent results because of it.
